CTBTO Station Manager Marc Escudier visited Nightingale Island to photograph the wildlife in February 2014.

A Day Trip to Nightingale Island in Perfect Conditions

Report and images from Marc Escudier

Marc Escudier joined Tristan Islanders Joseph Green, Nigel Lavarello, Terence Green, Andrew Glass, Dean Repetto, Ian Lavarello, and Adrian Swain aboard the Wave Dancer for a trip to Nightingale Island on Saturday 1st February. Nigel and Joseph remained aboard Wave Dancer fishing (but the story goes that a shark ate their line).

Marc's wonderful photographs show vividly why Nightingale has such fond memories, especially for those lucky enough to visit in these perfect conditions.
