The Pacific Askari departed Cape Town at 18.30hrs on 9th May 2017 bound for Tristan. The ship is a charter principally to provide transport back to South Africa for Galliford Try contracors employed in the construction of the new Camogli Healthcare Centre.

The ship provides additional outward berths and passengers aboard are: Islanders Conrad & Sharon Glass, Gary & Rita Repetto; Paul Thornton & Max Slipper (Medical Commissioning Technicians).
