The report of a meeting held on the 10th July 2018 at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London, headed 'Towards a Tristan da Cunha ‘Blue Belt’ Marine Protection Strategy' has been published and is available to download:
The Tristan da Cunha Government is already implementing recommendations based on research. Therefore a decision has been taken in 2018 not to license any long line fishing while sea birds aggressively forage between February and June.
