Obituary for Trina Lavarello
We regret to announce the death of Trina Caroline Jane Lavarello who passed away on the 30th December 2024, aged 84 years.
Trina was born on 23rd October 1940 to parents Willie and Violet Lavarello (née Glass), the youngest of four children. Affectionately known as Aunt Trina in the village, Trina remained single.
Trina was employed at the fishing factory processing crayfish and was also employed as a cleaner in the administration building. She never married but had several nieces and nephews who she had a great fondness for. Trina was evacuated to the UK during the 1961 volcanic eruption and while in the UK she was employed in domestic service. Trina's great passion was knitting and she designed a lovely knitting pattern which she kept close to her and only shared with a few people.
Trina is survived by her nephews and nieces. She will be remembered with great affection by family and friends.
