Visit of the yacht Nina Pope

The yacht Nina Pope arrived at Tristan on the evening of 21st January 2018. By daylight the yacht could be seen anchored offshore with 4 crew members onboard. The yacht had sailed from Rio de Janeiro and was bound for Cape Town. Crew members came ashore and enjoyed the day shopping and having a walk around. They had a lovely lunch at Café da Cunha which consisted of lobster, baked potato and coleslaw, followed by homemade ice-cream, with one of the crew tasting lobster for the first time. They enjoyed a quick beer at the Albatross Bar before returning to the yacht at 7pm before setting sail for Cape Town at around 10:00pm.
