Departure from Tristan

Passengers boarded MV Lance on the afternoon of Friday 9th December 2022 and she sailed for Cape Town later that evening.

Passengers are: Islanders: Ian Lavarello, Dilys Green, Duncan & Jackie Lavarello, Carol Swain, Vera Glass, Roger & Rosemary Glass, Riley Glass; Visiting relatives: Leon Glass, Stacey-Lee White & Rosslin Behrens

We hear that for the first time, the Lance undertook some fishing while she was in Tristan waters.

Arrival at Tristan

The MV Lance arrived at 9am on Saturday 19th November 2022 and passengers came ashore shortly afterwards. Sea conditions were not suitable for offloading on Saturday or Sunday. but offloading commenced on Monday.

Passengers were: Islanders: Douglas & Brenda Swain, Chloe Glass, George Swain, Renee & Dylan Green, Barbara Glass, Jamie Glass; Visiting relatives: Carlos Tinoco, Avril Repetto-Tinoco & Catarina Tinoco; and Non-islander: Bubele Nongwejana (new Gough Island medic, who will stay on Tristan until the arrival of the MFV Edinburgh in November and then be taken to Gough).

Departure from Cape Town

The MV Lance departed Cape Town at 2pm on Friday 11th November 2022.
