Arrival at Cape Town

The MFV Edinburgh arrived back at Cape Town on Friday 11th November 2022.

Departure from Tristan

The following passengers boarded the MFV Edinburgh on the 4th November 2022 and she sailed for Cape Town at 11.10am: Islander: Marion Collins; Non-islanders: Jason & Susannah Ivory (Administrator), Megan Elsmore (PhD researcher), Antje Steinfurth (Biologist), Rev. Margaret & Nicolaas Van den Berg, and Charles Lapira (Crew member from the MV Penelope I). Passengers also include Sandile Nkebe (Old Gough Medic) who was brought from Gough Island on the Edinburgh but did not land at Tristan.

Arrival at Tristan

The MFV Edinburgh arrived early on Saturday morning, 10th September 2022, and passengers came ashore about 9:00am. Offloading commenced and was completed by 3:00pm.

Passengers were: Islanders: James, Felicity & Kieran Glass; Non-islanders: Prof. Michael Harte (Natural Resource Consultant), Paul Ferreira, Vivini Xambesi & Thulani Mofu (Harbour contractors).

Departure from Cape Town

The MFV Edinburgh departed Cape Town on Thursday 1st September 2022 shortly after 16:00 local time. After dropping off passengers and cargo at Tristan, she will be fishing around the outer islands before returning in November.
