In addition to the MFV Edinburgh, three cruise ships visited Tristan the week beginning 19th March 2023 - the Silver Cloud, the SH Vega and the National Geographic Explorer.

In a busy week for shipping, the cruise ship SH Vega arrived at Tristan Sunday 19th March 2023, followed by the MFV Edinburgh and the cruise ship Silver Cloud the next day. The Vega continued her journey to Cape Town on Monday 20th March, kindly taking with them islanders Kelly & Shane Green and their children Savanna & Seren, while the Silver Cloud departed for Cape Town on the 21st March. The Edinburgh's voyage is reported separately.

Next, the cruise ship National Geographic Explorer arrived on the 22nd March 2023. She took on fuel from the MFV Edinburgh, which had been specially chartered for that purpose. As prearranged, the Governor, Nigel Phillips and his wife Emma, and Gerhard Kapp (harbour contractor) boarded her for the next leg of her voyage to St Helena. She departed Tristan later that day.
